Research & Collaborations

PDMDRC is actively involved in research and clinical trials, with international collaborations that enhance the impact of its work. The center is part of the Genetic Architecture of Parkinson’s Disease study, a Genome-Wide Association Study funded by the Michael J. Fox Foundation, in collaboration with LUX GIANT Tubingen.

The center is also engaged in a variety of other large-scale research projects, including:

  • GoPI-YOPD and PAIR-PSP studies
  • DLB registry, Oral-Park study, and MSA registry
  • Pan-India GWAS in Parkinson’s disease, recently completed with significant findings
  • Global Parkinson’s Genetics Program (GP2) study, funded by the Michael J. Fox Foundation
  • Ongoing drug trials in conditions such as Myasthenia, Tuberous Sclerosis, and Stroke

The center is also actively involved in high-level collaborations with esteemed institutions such as SRM University in Chennai, King's College London, and King's College Hospital, Dubai.
